Conditioning

Some of you have been asking about just how much you should be running outside of practice. After talking with WL's head soccer coach, James Hunter, I want to suggest that you are running at least 15-20minutes 2-3x a week. When High School conditioning starts next June, you'll be expected to run 20-30 minutes so this will start getting you prepared. James also suggested you mix in a little speed, agility, and strength training. So before, during, or after your jog try running a few sprints at a fast pace (for about 20-25 seconds), doing some extra push-ups and sit-ups, etc.

Thanks,
Jennifer
